Kitchen Time

The motivation of my baking or being in the kitchen for 5 hours or more last night really came from having finished floors! The handyman did it again. Here are a few shots of the new kitchen and hallway flooring.

Now I mentioned being in the kitchen for 5 hours..yep, that's right. For the first time I made cut out cookie dough-usually Grandma had all that ready for us growing up and we just got to cut out and then decorate. Now I got the dough all mixed up and it seemed super soft and messy, but I knew from Grandma to add flour when rolling it out...still, didn't think that was enough. I looked back at my cook book and seen then it needed to sit for 3 HOURS...are you kidding me! It's already 8 o'clock in the evening and I am missing my hospital drama shows. Well I let it sit, it worked out and here are my Sweet Ass Cookies..made with pride, dedication and a few choice words...

The thong in front is a request from the handyman.

For my co-workers I wrapped in individual bags and stamped a Valentine name tag to put on it.
