Fall is here!

The spirit of the cool crisp air is here! Fall has arrived. This happens to be my favorite time of the year...and makes for excellent outdoor portraits...and making crafts!

Since I have been feeling crafty lately, I have decided to set up items for sale at the annual RLI craft fair. This will be held at the Peach St. location, October 13th, 2011 at 3-6pm in the cafeteria. Beyond having a slide show of my photographs and doing a little PR for Outdoor Embellishes, there will be my Chalkboard Paint creations.

Check out the Chalkboard Creations....

Menu Signs-Hang or set on an eisle to display your menus for the day or daily messages

Flower Pots (medium or mini) - Keep your herbs growing all season long

Glass Jars-Great for storing spices, flour or other items to help organize your kitchen. Store items in you bathrooms such as hair ties, cotton balls and more!

Welcome Signs-Write a welcome message and hang to greet your guests.

Tin Buckets-Great to fill with candy and give as gifts or organize your supplies

So rake up those leaves, gather your pumpkins, bake more goodies, put on those blue jeans and sweatshirts, grab a cup of hot apple cider, settle in and scrapbook....or grab your camera and capture the beauty of the season!

Fall bookings still available for Outdoor Embellishes Photography by Katie Johnson, along with items for sale for the Chalkboard Creations!

Creative Indoors

Out with the old and in with the new - that's the motto lately in our household. Recently we have started to clean up and organize the house..in every room! It's actually been a workout with that overall sense of accomplishment. Jake has his handyman room set up and I-my scrap booking corner. Now the key is to utilize the arrangement of goodies while it's chilly outside and start some creative indoor projects.
Sometimes it is hard to let go of the items you have had for so long..for example, that 1999 frame that says girlfriends on it, and it doesn't mean those memories won't exist, but sometimes being practical of the things we need are more essential.
Here's a glance at my newly organized corner...if you have any organization tips or memories you want to share of those items you let you..please make comments below.

Hope your day if filled with a sense of accomplishment, satisfaction and growth!
