Grand Palladium Riviera Resort & Spa

The Grand Palladium Riviera Resort & Spa is a beautiful resort superbly integrated with preserved tropical vegetation with foot paths weaving through flora and fauna to 5 pools and one salt water pool and to a pristine white beach and Caribbean oceanfront . We had access to all 5 resorts in one, along with the spa! During our stay we enjoyed our resort to the fullest. Just take a moment and picture yourself here, ahhhh!

Margarita Please!

There is just something about a margarita that makes you have fun! one, two...tequila! During our stay we celebrated with tasting margaritas, mohitos, riviera maya drink and pinacoladas. yum! Now from our adventures last year, we experienced the superman shot! not sure whats all in it, but it was red and blue in color and really tasty. This year we asked for a round as well, then our bartender brought us a superwomen shot too! He got the biggest kick out of serving us that too. They know how to work the chicas there...maybe its my blue eyes, or maybe its the tequila, either way, here is cheers to a great vacation! 1oz Orange liqueur
1oz fresh Lime juice
Shake with ice and strain.

Breakfast and the Beach

During our stay in the royal suites, relaxation, rejuvenation and real good food were our highlights. With our "VIP" treatment, we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast every morning before hitting up the beach or poolside at the La Jardin restaurant on our resort. Our breakfast buffet had private indoor and outdoor dinning with a fun Waite staff with a divine cuisine. Some of our favorite items consisted of; fresh fruit, bacon, coffee, fresh orange-pineapple juice and build-your-own omelets. One morning Jake got to feed one of the wild raccoons who graciously took her food right from your hands. Here are some pictures of our breakfast dining experiences-

Back to reality...

So here we are..back in Wisconsin, back to reality. Last week was spent relaxing either at the beach-watching the ocean waves, at the Spa and at the poolside or walking romatically hand-in-hand around our resort. With hot & humid temperatures, in the 80's everyday, we sure enjoyed our time in the Riviera Maya, Mexico area. More to come this week of our 2010 Mayan Adventure..well relaxation adventure anyway.

Adventure Update

In less than 48 hours our winter adventure begins. We are heading to Mexico!
Today is my last day of prepping and packing. My mind is buzzing with a list of things to NOT forget. We will be staying near Tulum, Mexico at the Grand Palladium Riviera Resort & Spa, right on the sea front near superb access to the beach.
Our agenda will include soaking up the sun at the crystal sandy beaches in a hammock or lounge bed enjoying the breeze off the ocean with a cervasa in hand! We are also going to adventure into Tulum and see the Mayan Ruins and tour through town.
All-inclusive-need I say more, but we will enjoy taste testing the variety of smoothie drinks, margaritas and wines with our varied cuisines. Another option for adventure is deep sea fishing too! I am excited to see where this adventure will take us, but no matter what we do, we will be relaxed! See you all soon with new photos, adventure notes and more.
